Music in the movies helps tell the story, helps to support the action, and illustrates what the characters are feeling. Music for games does all of those things, and does it while interpreting the player's input. Several examples of modern videogame music will illustrate the similarities to modern Hollywood scores, as well as hightlight the unique creative and technical challenges that come from scoring a game.
